His first album, Don't Go Near the Water, contained the song "Cadillac Style," which peaked at number three and spent five months on the charts. Kershaw's next two singles -- "Don't Go Near the Water" and "Yard Sale" -- reached the Top 20 and the fourth single, "Anywhere But Here," peaked at number ten. Haunted Heart, his second album, was released in 1993. The first single, "She Don'tKnow She's Beautiful," became his first number one hit and produced three more Top 10 singles --"Haunted Heart," "Double Wide Trailer," and "I Can't Reach Her Anymore." In 1994, he released his third album, Feelin' Good Train; he also released the holiday album, Christmas Time's A Comin' in 1994. The retrospective Hits: Chapter 1 was released in 1995. In 1996, Kershaw released his fourth studio album, Politics, Religion and Her. His next, Labor of Love, earned a gold award thanks to the hit single "Love of My Life." Maybe Not Tonight followed in 1999. |
